It was directed by none other than Picard’s Number One, Jonathan Frakes, who of course played Commander William T. Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He masterfully directs this nearly standalone story that still fits in the arc, yet feels like classic Star Trek!
We’re finally back! Ruthie and I are back with The Star Trek Discovery Podcast, with the first of four mini-episodes, covering the Short Treks. We recorded the first three all on the same night, and we’ll be releasing them over the holidays. For this one, episode 21, we discuss the first Short Trek, with a focus on Ensign Sylvia Tilly, titled Runaway. Ruthie loved it, whereas I liked it but found a couple things to take issue with, one thing in particular.
