On episode 98 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and Mark are joined by special guest Alex to discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 16 titled The Storm. We finally get to see winter on The Walking Dead, but be careful what you wish for. We were disappointed with this season finale, not only because of the failed attempt at realistic winter conditions but also because this just didn’t feel like a season finale episode to us. We expected a lot more, and we didn’t get it. Sign up to our Facebook group to stay in touch!
Brian and special guest co-host Steve discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 15 titled The Calm Before. We finally see them sign the charter, and we see the after effects of what Alpha is truly capable of, as we lose many people, some we barely know and others we know very well. Sign up to our Facebook group to stay in touch!
Brian, Mark & special guest Steve discuss Scars, The Walking Dead S9E14. This episode was written by Corey Reed & Vivian Tse, and directed by Millicent Shelton. We finally learn how Daryl & Michonne get those scars, and why Judith is special.
On episode 95 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and special guest co-host Lara discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 13 titled Chokepoint. We see more of Beta this episode, an epic fight, and The Kingdom is threatened by a new group and that takes an unexpected turn. Sign up to our Facebook group to stay in touch!
On episode 94 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 12 titled Guardians. We see more of what makes the Whisperers, including Alpha, tick, see the goings on in Alexandria, the Rosita love “triangle” or family unit “rhombus” forming, and a daring rescue takes place.
On episode 93 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and special guest co-host Steve Brown discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 11 titled Bounty. Brian wasn’t on the podcast this week but can be heard via voicemails, and unlike the last three episodes, he loved this one! Sign up to our Facebook group to stay in touch!

On episode 90 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 8, titled Evolution. Mark liked this one more than I did. I would have appreciated filling in the Michonne vs. everyone else, or so it seems, mystery rather than spending all this time with Henry and the angsty teens. By the way, during the hiatus, sign up to our Facebook group to stay in touch!
On episode 89 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 7, titled Stradivarius. Michonne leads the new people to The Hilltop, and we discover whether they are good or bad people, What happened between Michonne and Maggie? Was this rift caused by Maggie’s actions that day many years ago that caused Rick to be where he was that led to his fate? Maggie’s gone from the Hilltop. Jesus now leads the Hilltop flock. Daryl has that same scar as Michonne, and he HAS been out there all this time looking for Rick after I suggested that last week.
On episode 88 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 6, titled Who Are You Now? This episode marks a big time jump. Is The Walking Dead in our future for the first time? 2021 possibly? What happened to Michonne during that time? We meet a new group, and see part of an old one get the Carol treatment!
On episode 87 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark’s co-host on Panels to Pixels and frequent contributor Steve Brown joins us, as we talk through The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 5, titled What Comes After. This episode marks Rick’s final episode on The Walking Dead, but how that went down took a sharp left turn from what we had expected. into some of what we might have hoped, and, after all the dust cleared and the announcements were made, something we didn’t expect.
On episode 86 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 4, titled The Obliged. We say farewell to Rick next week, as Rick and Daryl fight and fall into a sinkhole, Michonne and Negan have a discussion, Anne continues to be Jadis.
On episode 85 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Mark, and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 3, titled Warning Signs. We all loved it! We get closer to saying farewell to Rick, as the Oceansiders go vigilante on the Saviors, Anne becomes Jadis again, Gabriel isn’t a B (he’s an A). Should she be a Gregory or a Negan?
On episode 84 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 2, titled The Bridge. We both loved it! We both think the season is heading in the right direction, in every way but the ratings.
On episode 83 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 1, the season premiere, titled A New Beginning. Mark loved it. I didn’t love it, but I liked it a lot. It was a setup episode, and a bit long, but there wasn’t much I could find fault with, unlike the second half of the Fear season 4.
Brian is, Back in the Saddle Again, with Mark and Kyle to discuss all the news, trailers, past discussions of The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead that came out of Comic-Con this year. Read More…

On this episode of The Walking Dead Talk Through, I am joined by my new co-host, Mark Kirkman, no relation :-), as we analyze Season 8 Episode 9, titled Honor. Monsters is the third episode of season 8 and the topic of our discussion this week. A season 1 character returns that can’t compete with the return of Morgan, but he gets killed off anyway, so it doesn’t really matter.
This is the final episode with Ruthie as co-host. She announced this week that she is stepping down, effectivel immediately. Brian will continue to do the show with guest hosts until a co-host can be chosen.
Hi, Brian here, and Season 8 of The Walking Dead is finally here! We have been teasing the return of Ruthie for weeks now, but she’s out sick this week, and my Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through co-host Kyle wasn’t available to sub in,
As The First Day of the Rest of Your Life is the last episode of season 7 of The Walking Dead, there is one thing for sure we can all agree on: there are no more episodes in season 7! This show has definitely taken us on a roller coaster this season, with plenty of ups and downs for all fans. Whether you liked or disliked this latest episode, no one can really say for sure where future seasons will take us. Another character’s journey has come to a close, and what a shocking ending it was. Why did Negan say she had him wrapped around her little finger? Must have been the beach ball sized lady nuts.
Something They Need is the penultimate episode of the seventh season and is the one where they finally go to Oceanside. It’s also the one where Sasha has to make a decision about her future. And it’s also the one where we get a character named Rapey Davey. But, this isn’t Friends, it’s The Walking Dead where the future is uncertain. Rick and the gang go to Oceanside and take all of their guns, but promise to bring them back. Will they be able to keep this promise? Sasha tells Negan that she will join him, but then tells Eugene that she doesn’t want to be used to hurt her friends and asks for his help. How will she get out of the situation she has created for herself?
The Other Side, also known as the antepenultimate episode of season 7 of The Walking Dead, was a rather middle of the road episode for the two of us. While it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t really knock our socks off either. This episode mainly focused on the unlikely–and reckless–pairing of Sasha and Rosita, with a little bit of the Hilltop sprinkled in for good measure. While we know what it is that motivates them, it’s hard to understand why they are making such rash decisions. It also seems unlikely that Sasha will survive her decision.
Bury Me Here is the title of the 13th episode of The Walking Dead this season, and it was also what one character wanted, and, in the end, got. That character was Richard, and the one who buried him, both literally and figuratively was Morgan. Although the previews lead us to believe that this was a Carol-centric episode, it was really all about Morgan. Morgan was the one who arguably had the biggest character change this episode, a change that was brought about ultimately by Richard, the one he buried. What a circle of life and death this episode was; and it also brought a little rearranging and mind-changing.
Say Yes is the next episode of The Walking Dead and there was a lot of yes in this episode. Michonne and Rick said yes to each other, Jadis said yes to Rick’s deal, Sasha said yes to Rosita’s ridiculous plan, and Tara said yes to herself when she (we think) decided to tell Rick about all the guns at Oceanside. What will be the result of all this yes? Probably something pretty spectacular, but we won’t find out next week! Next week looks to be a Carol-centric episode, which is quite alright with this podcaster. I hope she has a come to Jesus moment and will be ready to join the fight against the Saviors.
Hostiles and Calamities is the next episode of The Walking Dead, and it is an all Saviors all the time episode. If you couldn’t tell, neither one of us really cared too much for this episode. However, one bright spot, for at least one of us, is that Dwight gets beat up. Even though we didn’t, we always like it when our listeners enjoy the show!
New Best Friends are what Rick and the gang found in this episode, as well as a porcupine walker and a wire cat statue. While Winslow didn’t survive the encounter, hopefully the cat found a new home with Michonne. Also hopefully,
What an episode back from hiatus! Rock in the Road showed us all the things we wanted, and none of the stuff we didn’t. Like Brian said, it was Negan without Negan. Unfortunately, even though I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a little Negan goes a long,
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Yup… just shy of two months! But, in a few more days, our beloved show, The Walking Dead, returns for the second half of Season 7!!! We can’t wait to talk about it with you! We have news for The Walking Dead, read what we know about 7B, and if you don’t mind to listen, we also talked about some of the other TV and movies we watched during the hiatus!
There are many Hearts Still Beating after the mid-season break for season 7 of The Walking Dead, but a few that have been stopped forever. Thankfully it was Spencer, unfortunately, it was also Olivia. Some characters weren’t on the road to learn the lesson that Rick learned, but some were and didn’t learn it good enough. I’m looking at you, Rosita, and now Eugene is paying the price for your stubbornness. I hope she has now learned her lesson, the lesson he tried to tell her when he told her that it might not be her that pays the price for her actions. Hopefully she will remember those words and how mean she was to Eugene and work extra hard to get him back.
Sing Me a Song is the title of the next episode of The Walking Dead, also known as season 7 episode 7, and the penultimate for this year. It is also another way that Negan shows his prickishness because he makes Carl, our little serial killer in training, do just that. While the seemingly budding bromance between Carl and Negan was the main focus of this episode, we also checked in with Rick and Aaron, Spencer and Father Gabriel, Rosita and Eugene, and Michonne. It seems that our characters are going off in all different directions, both literally and figuratively while they all try to cope with their new Savior situation. Michonne and Rosita are both hell bent on getting themselves killed…er, I mean going after Negan.
Swear means we only have two more weeks of The Walking Dead this year, but it also means all Tara all the time. The sixth episode of season 7 caught us up on what happened to Tara and Heath after that fateful night at the Savior outpost.
