Rebinge It watches: Star Trek Voyager’s Latent Image

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E11: Latent Image where the doctor suffers an existential crisis and Janeway tries to erase it. Nancy Bell guest stars as Ensign Jetal.

Latent Image

When the doctor discovers a gap in his memory, he uncovers what he thinks is a (possibly alien) conspiracy. Turns out, Janeway made the decision 18 months prior to erase his memories to undo a feedback loop caused by a life or death decision the doctor was forced to make. Seven doesn’t think Janeway is treating the doctor fairly and makes her reconsider her decision. But what happened? And who is this mysterious ensign that we’ve never heard of before?

What’s this rebinge thing?

It’s a re-watch of a thing you’ve probably already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. In each episode we discuss “Women in the Future” and “Janeway’s Leadership Corner” while over-analyzing everything.

Be sure to listen to our previous episode S5E10: Counterpoint where Janeway takes on a hot fascist.
