Talking Through Divine Providence!

For this episode 97 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, LT, and Brian talk through Season 7 Episode 14 of Fear the Walking Dead titled Divine Providence, written by Alex Delyle & David Johnson and directed by Edward Ornelas. As the battle for the Tower heats up, Alicia brings the fight to Strand’s front door.

Another flip-flopping, mind-numbing ride to nowhere!

What can we say about this episode other than, what the hell is going on? Everyone is all over the place. There is no rhyme or reason with how everyone is acting, and it’s just like the writers completely forget about what happened in previous episodes and just throw it all together without even a thought about it. This is making our expectations for how this will land even more precarious.

We have some good news to share with Renae calling in and leaving an update on her husband, and while she may not be back for the rest of Fear, she has been listening to the podcast and will return in the future. We miss you, Renae, and thank you for keeping us updated. Big hugs from all of us here.

So, Enjoy as Kyle, LT and Brian discuss Fear the Walking Dead, Season 7, Episode 14, titled Divine Providence.

We want to start offering Patrons a real reason to stay on our Patreon and to get more people to become Patrons. As such, we are going to start experimenting with bringing you some new content that will really make it worth your while to be subscribed.

We are going to try offering Patrons early access to our regular episodes. These versions of the episodes will be less polished than the final version of the podcast, will largely be uncensored, may contain things we fix up in the final version (like when we speak over each other, awkward silences, etc.), and content that we remove from the final version and may not have all of the sound effects mixed in properly (and in the case of this episode, doesn’t have the beginning and ending music mixed in at all).

To do this, we edited a different version of the podcast where we’re all on one single track and only edited major things. Aside from that, the process is similar to how we’ve been doing it. We think, at least from an editing perspective, this was a major success. In fact, this process may influence how we edit the main version of the podcast going forward.

Strand looks so good in the photo for this week. 🙂

Something I’ve always wondered about with regards to the ratings – there’s a drop yes but it’s not really for that episode because it hadn’t aired yet right? Or are your numbers for directly after it airs live? Because wouldn’t the drop be due to people quitting after “The Raft” not people not tuning in here? I mean that has something to do with it too but wouldn’t the week after be more a reflection of how good or bad an episode is? If less watch next week then obviously last week’s was bad but if ratings go up that must mean people heard how good it was and want to see if the next is good yes? It’s like you’re always a week behind really. This may be me reading things wrong but just trying to take the charts in I feel there’s a week gap between who really earned the rating raise or fail.

    On to the podcast…

4A pre-Morgan was okay; I still wonder what would have been post the dam had Erickson stayed in charge but I will agree A was not as bad as B (which might be the worst things ever). Still four is down on the seasons list for me as a whole.

Wewoooowww LT went there; do you feel better about yourself after that “the roof is on fire” comment? You shouldn’t! The movie title reference was classy, the song reference was lame. 2.5 out of 5 on this humor section. 🙂

Alicia just needs a girlfriend. 😉

I agree Kyle, acting wise the guy who does Wes was really awesome as a bad guy, but it’s just Wes the character at that point to be here doesn’t make sense. Had he started with Strand and been a background to Howard so they could have killed him off earlier and then had Wes kill John Sr. and they build towards him not trusting Strand to this point we see it could have worked but because he spent SO much time on the “good guys” side his turn doesn’t work. Okay he didn’t trust Luci and was made at her, fine a go away but Strand is not you’re only other option so the fact they put him there was clearly more for drama than earned character content and that’s why we hate it.

👏 to LT’s rotary phone sounds!

I would of course watch “the Madison show” Kyle, but it wouldn’t be the same without another OF at least there with her to bounce History off of.

“Luciana won’t be on the show – but it’s only out of spite” lol. The OGs are definitely gone this year I feel; MAYBE you get Strand for a few episodes because he survived but his days are numbered because Madison will kill him over Alicia. They need characters so maybe June makes it? Sarah maybe as a background character hangs around and Luciana just to say they didn’t kill everyone from the early seasons, but yeah the rest will hop the same flight the kids did and we never see them again. If they finally do the Rick and CRM stuff as part of the season maybe Althea comes back but most that we know now are gone.

“It’s Madison meeting Morgan” 👎🏻👎🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻😡 that’s horrible news Kyle.

“This fine podcast which is better than the show” – facts! 🙂
