FTWDTT 080 – J.D. (S6E13)

Talking Through J.D.
We’re very, VERY late this time out AGAIN, but for this episode 80 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and LT talk through Season 6 Episode 13 of Fear the Walking Dead, titled J.D., which was written by Nick Bernardone & Jacob Pinion and directed by superfan Aisha Tyler.
Two new family units
While looking for clues about these underground dwellers, June meets up with John Dorie Sr., who has a connection to our bad guy Teddy. It’s ironic that John Dorie’s dad was so close by for so many years but they never saw each other. It turns out that the criminal John’s dad framed was none other than Teddy. Sherry intends to say goodbye to Dwight while she heads to Virginia to kill Negan, but that ends up not happening. Instead, Dwight and Sherry decide to start over and have their own family unit.

We don’t know what the ratings are…
We don’t know what the ratings are for S6E13 J.D., even though I’m writing this more than a week after we recorded the episode. The website where we have been getting ratings, showbuzzdaily.com, had been down for several days, and now, although they have the pages up, they can’t add new ones, so we until then, the chart will stay the same. If you recall, S6E12 In Dreams got a 0.25 in the 18-49, with an all-time low of only 988,000 viewers, the first time Fear the Walking Dead was under 1 million viewers in first-run.

We could still use your help!
This season, collecting feedback has been challenging, and we could use your help. Our availability is limited for each of us on Tuesdays when the bulk of the feedback comes in. We have to grab it from the various sources, including the Facebook group, the feedback form, email, and voice mail; put it into a Google doc; separate it into the appropriate sections of the podcast: Ratings, sauces, and feedback; and then fix things like spelling mistakes, grammar, and format, and then divide it by who will read it. If you are available most Tuesdays that we have an episode to record and want to help the podcast out, please drop us a line, either using the feedback form, the Facebook group, or if you are friends with us on Facebook, over Messenger. We’ll work out something if you can.

Another case of an awesome banner choice for the week! ๐
At least Sherry didn’t let the horse suffer, but yeah she never should have done that to start with – that was the saddest sauce this week! ๐
I agree, this is not a horrible season…it’s certainly no season four B! Is it the best of the series? No, but it’s not garbage either.
“Aaron what are you thinking right now?!” – you’re a cruel man Brian, ha; you know Gimple’s who won’t let Kim back until the ratings have bottomed out. ๐It would be great to have Madison back alive for sure but I don’t trust Gimple. Ha. It’s nice to talk about good times though, ha!
