Talking Through Today and Tomorrow

On this episode of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark, Kyle and I talk through Today and Tomorrow. Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 14 was written by Richard Naing & David Johnson, and directed by Sydney Freeland.

We start with a discussion of the last episode… that also discusses this one… again

Kyle missed last week’s episode, so we began with his feedback on S5E13 Leave What You Don’t. We also got feedback from Todd and Aaron. recommendation this time out to listen to it to pick up some insights on Leave What You Don’t. Discussion about this episode, in particular, begins at 22 minutes 38 seconds into the episode.

The link to the article in DeEtta’s feedback

I wanted to highlight the link to the Forbes article mentioned for DeEtta’s feedback. Overall, this one was a mixed bag. It wasn’t a bad episode, with not nearly as many things to point out as the last episode had, but still not up to the quality we expect from this show.

There’s a discussion about Ginny in the News, Ratings and Info section…

There’s a story point about Virginia/Ginny from an AMC article that we elude to several times during the podcast that we finally discuss during the News, Ratings and Info section. It describes her as an efficiency expert, a cost-cutter or re-organizer that explains a lot about this character that you may not have seen up until now. We also talk about the Talking Dead Twitter backlash, which you can find out about here.

Send in your feedback!

Please leave your feedback! We got a good dose of feedback again this week, so keep it comin’! Next time, we’ll cover any additional feedback we get for S5E14 Today and Tomorrow, and then talk through Fear the Walking Dead, Season 5 Episode 15, titled Channel 5. Get your feedback in by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. One of the best ways to submit feedback is on our Facebook group. You can also send us an email at our new email: walkingdead@talkthroughmedia.com or call our new voicemail at 216-232-6146.

We could use your help!

This season, collecting the feedback has been challenging, and we could use your help. Our availability is limited for each of us on Tuesdays when the bulk of the feedback comes in. We have to grab it from the various sources, including the Facebook group, the feedback form, email, and voice mail; put it into a Google doc; separate it into the appropriate sections of the podcast: Ratings, sauces, and feedback; and then fix things like spelling mistakes, grammar, and format, and then divide it by who will read it. If you are available most Tuesdays that we have an episode to record and want to help the podcast out, please drop us a line, either using the feedback form, the Facebook group, or if you are friends with us on Facebook, over Messenger. We’ll work out something if you can, like comping you into the Patreon, assuming you can do that.

Ratings are down

Ratings for S5E14 Today and Tomorrow were down from last week’s episode, S5E13 Leave What You Don’t. This week, Fear was able to get a 0.34 in the 18-49 demographic, with 1.307 million viewers, down from 0.41 and 1.446 million viewers last week.

  1. Aaron says:

Welcome back Kyle! *insert the World Star sound effect horn here* ๐ŸŽ‰

Team “Make the Horsie People Name Happen”! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sarah has grown on me over these last few episode, but Al is still my favorite I have to say.

๐Ÿค“Cameron was Keira’s last name in “Continuum” Brian, Sadler is Alec’s; them together is a ship sign. Kiera Sadler = Kiera/Alec shipper.

I’m all for making the Horsie People and Isabel part of the same group – bring that reveal on!

The correct answer is Strawberry Fanta Mark. ๐Ÿ™‚

Boo Engame!!! ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ–•It knows what it did.

Lol to Kyle hating on Charlie.

Well Brian Daniel being out of character now in scenes just means he’s gotten to the level of the other OGs so it’s not out of continuity for this group. ๐Ÿ™

I have to say – I liked Grace’s singing more than Daniel’s; that’s probably blasphemy I know but it’s true.

Boo Brian, you totally missed the opportunity to say “Because Charlie killed him” and keep that joke/fact going after you said Nick wasn’t here anymore!

That’s totally fair to say grabbing the gas cap was drama for an action moment as just because it’s there doesn’t mean you are as the Horsie guy probably would have took it as just someone trying to drain gas out of it before running off; again the writers are so close to the bullseye but they keep missing with little things.

I have to be real: unsurprisingly comment coming I know but I would not have felt for Morgan had Grace died this week, Grace yes but him no because he had his chance and as the effect says “You blew it!”. He might get some time with her but he could have had more. I get missing your family but as y’all said he should have been over it enough to try with her until she passes instead of “because drama”/filler.

Forget finding Isabel Al, find Alicia’s arms! ๐Ÿ˜‰

SPOONS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO COMMIT TO THE CAUSE Brian. ๐Ÿ™‚ Or torture. #BringBackMadison!

“she was an efficiency expert” – well she’s evil now. Ha!

Yay for Danay; it’s a bummer she has to leave but they didn’t know what to do with her anyways anymore it seems. ๐Ÿ™

Sorry to hear about Loverboy Brian!
